The Gardens at Bishan is originally conceived as a Spanish Baroque palace, set in a terraced landscape, with the Moorish tradition of using lush, walled gardens and water to create a piece of heaven on earth. Graceful, classic styling and detailing extends from the gardens up to the apartment tower facades, culminating in the fine gables and domes of the tower roofs to complete the awe effect.
The site is entered via the clubhouse, a dramatically sited central rotunda at the top of baroque staircases. Cascading fountains complete the theme of the estate.
Upon entering the estate, visitors are welcomed by a series of lion figureheads. A regal and benevolent symbol of power, stability and masculinity, often embellishing building entrances under both eastern and western tradition, the lion figureheads spout fountains of water in culmination of the cascading fountains above.
The gardens, measuring about 96,000 sq ft, nearly the size of two football fields, over 3 levels, are filled with 2 large swimming pools, elegant gazebos, intricately sculpted figures, refreshing fountains and shady pavilions for residents to host their private parties.
This thematic vision is carried from the level of site planning down to the last architectural detail to create a fairytale resort estate which will transport residents from the hustle and bustle of the city to their own private paradise. Enjoy palatial living unparalleled in Singapore. |
